CEO MISSISSIPPI PRINCIPAL ACADEMY

Collaborating to Empower Others (CEO) Leadership Academy is designed to enhance the growth of Mississippi K-12 practicing administrators.

The unique design of the CEO Leadership Academy allows for the creation of a state-wide network of leaders, whereby trust and support will be readily available for all administrative situations. As the group meets (mostly virtually this year) and discusses possible scenarios, it will become evident that we all deal with the same type of conundrums even though we may be miles apart. Through this academy, we will help you make connections and share ideas.

360 Leadership Evaluation - Leaders learn by trial and fire. However, training that is designed to form bonds and initiate conversation allows for significant support and personal growth.

The Phil Hardin Foundation of Meridian continues to be a valuable sponsor to help reduce the tuition costs of the program.

This year PREPS will also partner with CEEDAR and EdConnective.

stands for “Collaboration for Effective Educator Development, Accountability, and Reform.” Their mission is to support students with disabilities in achieving college- and career-ready standards by building the capacity of state personnel preparation systems to prepare teachers and leaders to implement evidence-based practices within multi-tiered systems of support.

EdConnective is an organization that drives student achievement through non-evaluative instructional coaching wherever and whenever it’s needed, empowering teachers to go from good to great, and great to amazing. Through intensive 1:1 coaching, small group coaching, and group training, EdConnective's expert coaches work in partnership with teachers to provide specific, actionable data-driven feedback based on actual instructional observation. The result is skill-transfer, not just strategy that empowers teachers to make a tangible difference in student outcomes, while becoming more confident in the classroom.

We are encouraging administrators to apply to this year's academy by July 30. The academy will be held throughout the school year. The CEO Academy launches in August. The academy has limited seats and is competitive. Selected applicants will represent all 4 corners of the state.

Successful CEO graduates will receive OSL, SEMI, or 6 hours graduate credit from William Carey University.
