Collaborating to Empower Others (CEO) Leadership Academy is designed to enhance the growth of Mississippi K-12 educators. Beginning at our annual Partnership Conference, administrators can apply for a competitive seat in the academy. The CEO Academy launches in the Fall of the following school year. Selected applicants represent all 4 corners of the state and will include the entire spectrum of leaders in our schools, including lead teachers, principals, and superintendents.
The unique design of the CEO Leadership Academy allows for the creation of a state-wide network of leaders, whereby trust and support will be readily available for all administrative situations. As the group meets and discusses possible scenarios, it will become evident that we all deal with the same type of conundrums even though we may be miles apart. Through this academy, we will help you make connections and share ideas.
Leaders learn by trial and fire. However, training that is designed to form bonds and initiate conversation allows for significant support and personal growth. The Phil Hardin Foundation continues to be a valuable sponsor to help reduce the tuition costs of the program.
We are encouraging administrators to apply to this year's academy by July 15. The academy will be held throughout the school year.
The dates and locations are as follows: August 26-27 (Jackson), October 16-18 (AL), December 9-10 (Jackson), February 4-5 (Meridian), and March 4-6 (Hattiesburg).
Administrators will receive OSL, SEMI, or 9 hours graduate credit from William Carey University.
