Differentiated Strategies for Gifted Learners

During this session, on Monday, February 26 at the MAPE/PREPS Conference participants will learn how to use STEM-based strategies to group and differentiate for the advanced learners in their classrooms. These strategies will not only challenge the advanced learners, but also raise the bar for all learners in the class, making the content more interesting and motivating for the learners. Handouts will be provided for participants.

Christina has 19 years’ experience as an educator including ten years as a teacher of the intellectually gifted. She has attained a doctoral and specialist’s degree in higher education administration, a master’s degree in gifted education and bachelors of science degree in elementary education. She is director of the Center for Creative Scholars at William Carey, an endeavor that makes it possible for gifted learners of all ages, races, and culturally and socially diverse statuses to have educational opportunities to engage with one another in the summer and Saturday programs. She is also assistant professor of Education at William Carey University and specializes in the instruction of gifted educators.
