TODAY is the LAST day - TO APPLY FOR THE PREPS CEO LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

The academy is only $250 for PREPS members! Successful completion of the academy will give you 2 free WCU course credits in the WCU Educational Leadership Specialist or Doctoral program, or SEMI/OSL credit from MDE.

The Program of Research & Evaluation for Public Schools (PREPS) at William Carey University is now accepting applications from K-12 administrators for the 2020-21 CEO Leadership Academy. CEO stands for Collaborating to Empower Others. "The PREPS CEO Leadership Academy has developed into one of the premier leadership training opportunities available for school leaders, and I can't wait to start another leadership journey with the best and brightest educators from across Mississippi,” stated Dr. Chuck Benigno CEO leader.

"In today's unique environment, it is more important than ever to develop leaders who can look through an empathetic lens in an effort to build a collaborative relationship between all members of the school community. By using research based strategies, the CEO Leadership Academy helps leaders develop self-awareness and a real-world perspective that will propel their schools to a higher level of success."

Dr. Patti Permenter, Associate Director of PREPS said that the CEO Leadership Academy will meet virtually throughout the school year with a few face-to-face sessions scheduled. “We are hopeful that the participants will have the opportunity to meet and work together in person,” Permenter said. As in the previous years, the program is supported by a $25,000 grant from the Phil Hardin Foundation and this year an additional $5000 grant from the CEEDAR Center based at the University of Florida which will be used to drastically reduce tuition costs.

The application process is competitive and will strategically represent all four corners of the state. CEO Leadership Academy graduates will receive either OSL, SEMI, or six hours of graduate credit from William Carey University. Administrators are encouraged to apply online by July 30. The link for application can be found on the PREPS website at www.mspreps.org. For more information, contact PREPS Associate Director Dr. Patti Permenter at (601) 318-6229 or admin@mspreps.org.
