TRIBE - Together we Remediate, Intervene/Integrate, Build and Enrich young readers

We will tell you our story of how we achieved a dramatic increase in our test scores through the repurposing our time and resources, the differentiation of instruction based on skill levels and testing data, and the thematic arts integrated units based on high quality, award winning literature. We helped our students not only increase test scores, but also instilled a love of learning.

Pontotoc Elementary School has a diverse population of around 600 students from Kindergarten to Second Grade. Many of those haven’t attended pre-school and our LEP population is growing. In previous years, our school district’s MKAS scores were not acceptable. So, two years ago we set new goals and began a two part program call TRIBE.
