Welcome Dr. Teresa Jackson


PREPS welcomes our newest board member Dr. Teresa Jackson. Dr. Jackson has been Superintendent of Winona School District since 2013 and is now transitioning to Superintendent of Winona-Montgomery Consolidated School District. Before coming to Winona, she served in the Grenada School District for 19 years as a teacher and building-level administrator. Teresa is an alum of Holmes Community College, Delta State University, Mississippi State University, and the University of Mississippi. She has a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters and Ph.D. in K-12 Educational Leadership. Dr. Jackson was a National Board Certified Teacher and has been recognized for her accomplishments as both a teacher and school leader. She is currently a member of Mississippi’s inaugural NISL Superintendents’ Academy.

In addition to serving on the PREPS board, Dr. Jackson is a member of the Mississippi Association of School Administrators (MASA), the Mississippi Association of School Superintendents (MASS), the Alpha Phi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma which promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education, and the Editorial Advisory Board of The Delta Journal of Education. From 2015-2018, Dr. Jackson has served on the Superintendents’ Advisory Council for the State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Carey Wright.

Dr. Jackson is married to Micheal, and they enjoy spending time hunting and going to ballgames with their grown children.
