Hugh I. Peck Memorial Research Award was established in memory of Dr. Hugh
Peck, former Executive Director of PREPS. It is awarded to school districts or other educational
organizations that have participated in worthwhile research and development for the betterment
of schools in the state.

Dan Merritt Courage Award was given at the first PREPS Winter Conference in 1996

school district or an individual who is recognized for taking a professional risk for the greater
good of Mississippi Public Schools.

For Immediate Press Release (February 7, 2017)The Program of Research and Evaluation for Public Schools (PREPS, Inc.), Mississippi’s only statewide educational consortium, is excited to announce the 2017 Value Added Award recipients. Value Added Awards recognize schools who have exhibited exemplary growth for the 2015-2016 school year.  Awards given to the 9th-12th grade schools recognize outstanding performance on Mississippi’s subject area tests (SATP2) which include Algebra I, English II, U.S. History, and Biology I.  A reception for award winners will be held Tuesday, February 28 from 5:15 PM – 8:00 PM with the awards presented Thursday, March 2 at 9:45 AM -11:00AM at the Jackson Hilton during The 2017 Mississippi Education Partnership Conference which celebrates collaborations in schools.
